COPE is a national labour union organization made up of 4 regions and 46 Local unions comprising tens of thousands of members across Canada. Our members are mostly office employees, technical and professional employees and sales representatives both in the private and public sectors.

Local 225, based in Ottawa, is one of several "national locals" with membership in nine of the ten provinces. COPE is democratic union where members set the priorities. Our local executive is made up of committed and experienced volunteers who are backed with support and resources from paid staff.

The Local's members are employed by professional associations, labour organizations, political parties and social agencies.
